According to the Merriam Webster dictionary: “a cult is a small religious group that is not part of a larger and more accepted religion and that has beliefs regarded by many people as extreme or dangerous”. In a previous post I referred to a cult as: “a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange of sinister”.

Other countries, now including many with liberal- leaning societies like Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland have joined with Turkey, Jordan, Greece and Austria in resisting the ever-expanding influx of refugees (mostly Muslim) from the war torn regions of North Africa. Walls are being erected in Jordan, Austria and Greece to fend off the hoards.

The actions of these migrant groups has placed a severe strain on the financial and social fabric of much of Europe which was initially willing to host these desperate peoples out of sheer human kindness and generosity. Even in Germany, that grim-faced angel of mercy, Angela Merkel, is facing a revolt from within her own Christian Democratic Union over the immigration crisis.

Inevitably, the bad actors among the migrants have risen to the top bringing felony crimes and gender-based attacks to the shores of normally peaceable nations at an alarming rate.

Resentment and resistance to further immigration has predictably increased throughout the continent but its message has been largely unheard in the United States where political correctness still prevails. Congress never seems to learn from related world events.

The time has come to call a spade, a spade; and this Muslim religion, a cult. By either of the above definitions, it is indeed a cult. Whether one uses the term dangerous, extreme, strange or sinister: “the shoe fits” to quote O.J. Simpson’s lawyer.

This Muslim cult is currently in the minority in the U.S. (only 1% as of 2015). Estimates from Pew Research are that the number will increase to greater than 50% by the year 2050 – aided by anchor babies and a flawed naturalization policy. By then, it will be too late to thwart the incursion and our children and grandchildren will bear the consequences of today’s governmental inaction.

The First Amendment does not, and was never intended to, guarantee freedom of speech to every wacko cult that calls itself a religion, gaining freedoms and tax free status in so doing. (Think Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker.)

This movement is the greatest threat to America’s continuing prosperity. Greater even than big banks, lobbyists and climate change. Donald Trump can be faulted on many fronts, but not this one. He is spot on. Forget the foolish Mexican wall – Mexicans are not massing and mobilizing to overtake our country. Muslims and their explicit Sharia laws are. We need this Muslim wall to preserve the nation.
