Thanksgiving day, 2014

Today I read with gratitude that President Obama pardoned the White House Turkey, named ‘Cheese’ or, as Obama calls him – Cheesy.

I noted Cheesy is white and presumably will return to the farm to be eaten at a later date on a slow news day.

The other turkey, a black one, remains alive and well, running around the White House clucking:  “We have overcome.”

How prophetic.
