WHO’S TO BLAME, HERE?

October 29, 2013

If the dysfunction within the Beltway were not so serious it would be laughable. Who says Laurel & Hardy are dead? They are alive and inept as ever. Yes, I’m talking about you, Mr. President – and you, Representative Pelosi. (“You have to pass this bill to find out what’s in it.”)

The current ruckus and politicking is about finding who is responsible for the colossal failure of government management. Some poor schmuck down in the bowels of Health & Human Services will likely be fired. (Just like the banking debacle.) But, for a change, how about starting at the top? The President is at fault for never offering guidance on how to implement his only meaningful piece of legislation in five years. He had a phantasmagorical idea, but walked away assuming low level congressional staffers would “figure it out”. Ms. Pelosi’s arrogance is exceeded only by her managerial incompetence.

My solution?  Turn it over to Amazon. Let Jeff Bezos sell insurance programs as well as books and toasters. At least his web site works well and customer satisfaction could not be higher.

You’re welcome.
